1、 Definition of anti-corrosion grade

The anti-corrosion grade refers to the standard that the anti-corrosion treatment of materials needs to meet for different usage environments and requirements. Usually includes the following three levels:

(1). Basic requirements for anti-corrosion treatment: The surface of the steel structure does not require any treatment, only the steel structure with anti rust paint film or anti-corrosion coating.

(2). General requirements for anti-corrosion treatment: Additional requirements for surfaces such as welds, cutting edges, and openings require surface sandblasting or etching treatment in addition to anti rust paint films or anti-corrosion coatings.

(3). Special requirements for anti-corrosion treatment: Considering the corrosion resistant cover, anti-corrosion tape and other coatings, as well as external corrosion conditions, suitable materials need to be selected and overall anti-corrosion measures need to be taken.

2、 Common anti-corrosion grades

According to the different anti-corrosion levels, the protective measures of materials will also vary.

(1). Fp0 level: No special requirements. The material is usually ordinary steel, and the surface anti-corrosion requirements are not high.

(2). Fp1 level: General requirements. The surface of the material needs to be treated, usually using methods such as sandblasting and etching to improve the adhesion and rust prevention effect of the coating.

(3). Fp2 level: special requirements. The surface of the material needs to undergo rough machining treatment or use materials with anti-corrosion properties, such as stainless steel, aluminum alloy, etc.

3、 Protective measures

According to the requirements of anti-corrosion level, common protective measures include the following:

(1). Anti corrosion coating: Using anti rust paint, anti-corrosion coatings and other materials for coating to improve the anti-corrosion performance of the material surface.

(2). Anti corrosion hot-dip galvanizing: At room temperature, immerse the surface of the component in molten zinc solution and apply a layer of non corrosive zinc alloy to improve the material's rust and corrosion resistance.

(3). Anti corrosion spraying: Special spraying materials are used to treat the surface of the material with a bonding layer to improve its anti-corrosion performance.

4. Anti corrosion tape: Using anti-corrosion materials, wrap them on the surface of the material to form a uniform coating and improve the material's corrosion resistance.

In summary, the national standard for anti-corrosion treatment level is divided to adapt to different materials and usage requirements involved in different environments. By understanding the anti-corrosion level and corresponding protective measures, materials can be better protected and their service life can be extended.
